DVD-R

Your DVD project is recorded onto write-once DVD-R (DVD-recordable) media. The vast majority of DVD players sold today will play these discs. However, some DVD players, particularly earlier models, will not play them.

To make sure your player is compatible with DVD-Rs, please consult the manufacturer of your player. Alternatively, you could check the websites which keep a record of DVD compatibility. The Apple website has a record of players which are known to be compatible or incompatible with their drives (our projects are completed entirely on Apple equipment). You could also try LynxDV.

We know of no DVD-ROM drive that is incompatible with DVD-R discs.
